Wilkowice is a small town in the
Carpathian Mountains. The Town Council announced a competition to
design a new Town Hall, in place of the old one, which will also be a
multifunctional center.
The shape of the building was inspired
by the mountains surrounding the area. It is covered with wood and
has a green roof to fits into the environment.
The centre of the building is a public
space with catering, entertainment, shops and services. There are
also a small hotel. In the middle level there's a big auditorium
which can also be used as a cinema.The two top levels contain offices
occupied by the city council. The functions are well communicated.
